Awarded in 

Accumulated numerous medals in regional, national and world-level competition throughout the 1950s. Perhaps most markedly, he became the first man to jump in excess of 100 feet at the 1954 Water Ski National Championships. The following year, He earned silver medals in jumping and overall at the 1955 Water Ski World Championships in Beirut, Lebanon. When he wasn't partaking in three-event competition, he enjoyed show skiing for Cypress Gardens until his early retirement in 1957.
