Frank Harrison
Awarded in
Frank devoted more than a quarter of a century of his life to the administration of our sport of water skiing as well as being a competitive skier. Frank was one of the original developers of WETSET
Village, one of the first man-made water skiing communities in the country in 1972. He chaired 2 Elite Team Trials in 1989 and 1993, as well as 6 Western Regional Championships at Wet Set. With a passion for the sport, Frank started his administrative career as a council person in the Western Region moving up to EVP, and then Director. He went on to serve as Treasurer and Chairman of the Board of AWSA and continued his service on the International Activities Committee as both a member and Chairman for many more years. Frank's greatest honor was as US Team Manager, where his undying love for his county and the sport of water skiing was most rewarding. He took 9 US Elite Teams to the World Championships where 4 teams brought home the Gold. This and being selected as the US Team Captain and Manager of the Pan American Games in 2006 and 2011 were the highlights of his water ski career. Go USA!
