A significant contributor to the design of water skis and developed O'Brien skis into one of the largest manufacturers in the field in the 1970s and did the same with HO Sports in the 1990s. He says that his philosophy on design constantly evolved in the 1960s. As skiing styles changed in the 1980s, O'Brien came up with new designs to complement new techniques.
