Lance has been an AWSEF Trustee since 1986 and served on the Hall of Fame Selection Committee over three terms. He was an engineer by trade and was an early designer of a private lake in Newberry Springs, Calif. He was a skier at both Tommy Bartlett and Cypress Gardens ski shows. He competed for 36 years and accumulated awards at state, regional and national levels. He was an American Water Ski Association senior judge.
