One of water skiing's staunchest supporters in the history of the Eastern Region, Lex made his mark in all phases of the sport. He was a tournament organizer par excellence, including international meets with Canadian skiers. He competed in The Nationals in slalom and mixed doubles. Lex served eleven terms on the Association Board of Directors, including two terms as Vice President, and as U.S.A. Water Ski Team manager in 1973 - 1975 - 1977.
