The founder of Overton's, the world's largest distributor of water sports products and boating accessories. He also has been a tournament organizer and private ski site builder. His site in Greenville N.C., has hosted the Southern Region Water Ski Championship, the U.S. Open Water Ski Championship and a pro tour stop. He has been a major sponsor of the Masters, U.S. Open, Junior Development programs and the USA Water Ski. He has served as a trustee with the American Water Ski Educational Foundation since 1982.
