Started skiing in 1969 and competed in all three events in Junior Boys, Boys and Men I. In 1982 he began his show skiing career at Cypress Gardens. He competed in the freestyle jumping event on the Pro Tour for 16 years, where he won 17 consecutive tour stops and the tour's season championship four times. He became show director of Cypress Gardens in 1995 before advancing to director of sports marketing in 1998.
