It is possible that no one dominated her divisions in competitive water skiing the way Thelma did, progressing from Senior Women into the age class changes over the years. In 1973 she became the first Senior Woman to jump over 100 feet and was an obvious selection for the first U.S.A. Team to the Senior World Championships.
