Water skiing came into vogue in the 1950's and 60's, sparking enjoyment the world over. In 1968, the USA Water Ski Foundation was formed to honor our past and support our future with our scholarship program.
The Foundation works closely with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports which is towed water sports' governing body, recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
Today, more than 20 million people in the United States alone call themselves towed water sports enthusiasts and the Foundation has evolved into the USA WATER SKI & WAKE SPORTS FOUNDATION inclusive of all disciplines of water skiing and wake sports including wake surfing.
These sports know no age limits and benefit humanity through participation at all levels that build character, resilience, motivation, and responsibility to others and our planet. Please join us as we endeavor to preserve the history of towed water sports and promote its future.
