The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation is pleased to announce a $500 donation to its general scholarship fund in honor of the late Bob Cosby. The donation was made by the American Water Ski Association’s Western Region.
Cosby was a longtime member of AWSA. He served as the Western Region’s executive vice president from 1992-1994 and was a Western Region national director to the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports board of directors from 1999-2008. He also served on the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation’s board of trustees from 1992-2008, where he was a member of both the Fund-raising (1992-1993) and Scholarship (1994-2008) committees.
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation scholarships are awarded each year to water skiers and riders who show leadership abilities and demonstrate that involvement in the sport that has helped them grow both personally and academically. The Foundation’s general scholarship fund was started in 1983.
